Priya booked an online fire ceremony with Marco Aurelio. Two hours. She had never done anything like it. She said afterwards: "I didn't realise I was grieving a career I'd actually loved. I hadn't let myself feel that."

First land experience. Three days working a market garden in the Hunter Valley. Priya says she cried on day two — not from sadness but from something she couldn't name. HRV improved 38% in three days.

Three weeks back at Ruth's property in an extended working placement. Real landcare work — vegetation surveys, planting programmes, erosion control. By week two, Priya was running the morning crew briefing.

Ruth suggested Priya take three days of silence mid-placement. She did it reluctantly. "I didn't think I needed it. I needed it. Something finally settled."

Priya is now a landcare team leader in the Snowy Mountains.
Employed by a regional NRM organisation. Studying a Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management part-time. Looking at a land acquisition through Petrichor in 2027. Her HRV is the best it has been in a decade. Her employer considers the Newgrounds investment one of the best decisions they made in a difficult year.
